Private Cooking Classes

IMG_1558

Want to learn how to cook, improve your cooking skills, or just pick up a few new recipes?  Live in the SF Bay Area? I've been teaching both children and adults for over 3 years in all kinds of cuisines and techniques and can specially tailor classes to what you want to learn.

I received the Diplôme de Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris in 2006.  While there, I gave market tours, interned at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and even used cooking sessions to help French children improve their English-language skills.

After cooking school, I moved to Boston, where I interned as a test cook at America's Test Kitchen, testing recipes and techniques and even working on their public television show.

While in Boston, I had the fortunate opportunity to work under Chef Barbara Lynch at her cooking school and cookbook library (encouraging me to start my own extensive cookbook collection and learned great restaurant tips and techniques.

I also started teaching at create a cook, first as a children's birthday party instructor, then as one of their main instructors.  I've taught children from ages 3 - 15, focusing on basic skills, safety, healthy eating and introducing new flavors and cuisines.

Besides teaching children, I created and implemented adult cooking parties at create a cook.  It was a fun idea: find some friends, pick a menu, then come together to cook a meal from start to finish, learning or practicing new techniques.  At the end, sit down to enjoy the meal together and leave with all the recipes.

I currently work as a recipe consultant and have amassed thousands of recipes and themed menus.  I would love to come into your kitchen and show you all the delicious foods you can produce from it!  Don't worry if your kitchen or refrigerator is bare - I can bring all ingredients and equipment.  In the words of the great Julia Child, "Isn't cooking together fun?"

E-mail me if you're interested, I would love to hear from you.

Bon Appétit!
